3D-GATA2: Year 1 at EHA 2025
June 24, 2025Several 3D-GATA2 consortium members attended and contributed to the 11th International Symposium of the European Working Group of Myelodysplastic Syndrome Childhood (EWOG-MDS) and Severe Aplastic Anemia (EWOG-SAA), held from September 18–20, 2025, in Berlin, Germany.
The EWOG-MDS/SAA brings together clinicians and researchers from 20 European countries dedicated to advancing the diagnosis and treatment of young individuals with bone marrow failure syndromes, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), and related disorders. This biannual symposium serves as a key platform for scientific exchange and collaboration in these fields.

During the meeting, Prof Marlène Pasquet (Toulouse, France), coordinator of the 3D-GATA2 consortium, presented a keynote Lecture, GATA2 deficiency: from pathophysiology to clinical care, during the session: Inherited predispositions to myeloid neoplasms and their clinical implications. Other consortium partners, collaborators and students presented their findings during this and other sessions, including a student of Dr Giorgetti’s lab presenting work on GATA2 deficiency during the Young EWOG session.
This important engagement highlights the 3D-GATA2 consortium’s continued contributions to cutting-edge research and collaboration in GATA2 deficiency, with the ultimate purpose of understanding the natural disease course and developing and integrating personalized treatments into the care of affected individuals everywhere.
